Purchases Requiring IT Governance Approval

The IT departments provide the structure and oversight needed to accomplish effective integrations of technology into University operations. A Demand request must be submitted by the requesting Department to the respective campus IT Department prior to purchasing the following:

  • New server hardware, applications, or IT consulting services that require IT support or result in a new software/hardware vendor agreement. Please review the Acquisition of Computer Hardware and Software policy.
  • New or existing systems (commercial or open source) requiring integration with central University systems, data transfers between systems, or infrastructure services
  • Implementation of a new module for an existing application, system, or vendor.

Related items will be reviewed by the appropriate IT Governance. Make sure software subscriptions do not run out.
